The 2012 Award Gala will be held at the Lufkin Pitser Garrison Civic Center on Friday, August 10, 2012, 7pm-9pm.
Often called “The Heart” of East Texas, Texas Forest Country offers an exceptional quality of life that is unsurpassed by any other community in the nation.
While fresh air and natural beauty are major reasons for the attraction of East Texas, it is the people who have helped make this part of the nation what it is today.
Unselfish service, sacrifice and commitment are the characteristics of a handful of local citizens who lead the way.
With this in mind, the annual Community Impact Awards have been established for East Texas –
-- to celebrate the values, citizenry, and quality of life unique to our community.
Moved by the need to celebrate East Texas, its values and life, two community-based, non-profit radio stations, 90.9 KSWP and 91.9 KAVX, have founded the East Texas Community Impact Awards in the categories of Non-Profit Organization, Philanthropist, Volunteer, and Business.

The Community Impact Awards East Texas celebrates ordinary people who have a remarkable impact in your community.
2011 was the inaugural year of the Community Impact Awards East Texas, founded by local radio stations KSWP & KAVX, and it was a huge success.
The 2012 Award Gala will be held at the Lufkin Pitser Garrison Civic Center on Friday, August 10, 2012, 7pm-9pm.
You and your business or organization are cordially invited to participate in the 2012 Community Impact Awards East Texas.
We kindly encourage you to also consider a level of sponsorship. All sponsorships are tax deductible; our non-profit Tax ID will be provided with a receipt for any donations received. Each sponsorship level has added benefits, please view corresponding benefits attached.
Final sponsorship deadline is July 1, 2012.

2011 Community Impact Awards Recipients
The Community Impact Awards Gala took place on Thursday, October 27, 2011. The Award Gala was a huge success. What an honor to recognize such leaders in the area that are making a difference.

Love INC, Love in the name of Christ, in Lufkin and Nacogdoches is the recipient of the Community Impact Award for outstanding Non-Profit of the Year and is recognized for impacting the lives of the needy and disadvantaged in the area; showing love “by our actions.” |
| Dr. Neal Naranjo received the Community Impact Award for outstanding Philanthropist of the Year by making a difference in the surrounding communities with a passion for education and a relentless pursuit in providing opportunities for every citizen, through health care, collegiate education, and community park improvements. |  |
